It flourishes even in low-light conditions and does not grow at an exceptional rate, making it an excellent choice for beginners ‘s planted tank hobby.

Its leaves maintain a beautiful light-green colour, which may shift toward yellow at the tips as the plant grows closer to the light source. Bacopa caroliniana is distinguished by its bold, round leaves and thick stems. Due to its taller growth habit, it performs best as a background plant in aquariums of any size.

Care Level: Easy to Moderate

Growth Rate: Moderate

Light: Low-tech compatible

Substrate: Nutrient-rich recommended (root feeder)

Temperature: 22–28°C (ideally below 25°C)

Placement: Background and midground

CO2: Not required, but accelerates growth

Fertilization: Regular dosing recommended, especially in low-fish setups

Propagation: Take cuttings from the main stem and replant in substrate.
