Hygrophila Siamese – Fast-Growing Low-Tech Aquarium Plant

Description

Hygrophila Siamese is a fast-growing stem plant originally from Asia, well-suited to the aquariums hobby. Its robust nature and low maintenance requirements make it one of the most popular background plants for low-tech planted tanks.

• Type: Stem
• Origin: Asia
• Growth Rate: High
• Height: 20–30+ cm
• Light Demand: Low
• CO2 Requirement: Low

This plant thrives in a wide range of water parameters and does not require CO2 injection to grow vigorously. Its rapid growth makes it an excellent nutrient absorber, helping control algae and maintain water quality in your aquarium.

Plant it in the background of your aquascape to create a lush green wall effect. Propagate easily by taking stem cuttings and replanting them in the substrate. Regular trimming encourages bushy, dense growth. A fantastic choice for hobbyists setting up their first planted tank or looking to fill background space quickly.
